Past is the Future

Our work primarily concerns itself with the meeting point and overlapping of nature and culture. We recently took part in a two-month residency at the Eden Project in Cornwall. Eden focuses on the relationship between people and plants and the environment.

When living in cities, it is very easy to become detached from the environment. Our installation suggests that people are an integral part of the environment and not separate from it.

At certain angles the figures disappear completely amongst the foliage but as you move around them the silhouettes reveal themselves. It is interesting to see how people react … some people stare into the plants and see nothing whilst others see them instantly.
