I started curating contemporary visual arts projects in 2003, working either independently or in partnership with established institutions.
Originally trained as a Fine Art Printmaker at Cardiff and Chelsea, I was a practising artist, community artist and art teacher for 15 years before
moving into curating. I have been an active member of grass roots artist's
groups such as the Association of Artists and Designers in Wales, Women’s Work and Brixton Artists Collective. From 2006 - 09 I was a member of the London regional board of the Arts Council of England.
From 2003 - 2010 I worked at Autograph ABP, eventually becoming Curator. Here I worked on artist's commissions, publications and exhibitions. I have project-managed artist's commissions and projects, including writing funding applications. Since 2010 I have also acted as Studio Curator for sculptor Hew Locke.
